Rooted

Description: Anyone who has completed high school, 18-25 in age. Rooted is also for married couples, recent high school graduates and single professionals. You are called to serve our teens by leading retreats, prayer teams, chaperones, catechists and XLT prayer/adoration nights. It also includes connecting with other young adults in neighboring Catholic Parishes for “Happy Holy Hours” and social outings.

Frequency: Once per month during retreat prepping season. As the need or opportunity arises.


Together In Holiness

Description: A year-round marriage enrichment for small communities of spouses that equips them with the formation, support and practical tools to not just survive, but to thrive in their marriages.

Requirements: Couple must be married and biologically born male and female.

Frequency: Couples gather for 7 sessions throughout the course of a year in a host couples home or a participants home.


Consecration Ministry

Description: Consecration means setting yourself aside for service to God. We offer both Marian Consecration, as well as, Consecration to St. Joseph. For Marian Consecration we will be offering two options: 1) Total Consecration through the Mysteries of the Rosary by Fr. Ed Broom 2) Mary’s Mantle Consecration by Christine Watkins. Consecrations to St. Joseph also will have two options: 1) Consecration to St. Joseph by Fr. Donald Calloway 2) Consecration to St. Joseph For Children and Families by Scott L. Smith and Donald Calloway, MIC

Requirements: Anyone who would like to make or renew their consecration to either Mary ot St. Joseph should attend a 6 week journey.

Frequency: Dates: to be scheduled 1) during Lent for Feast Day of The Annunciation and 2) during May/June for Feast Day of Mary Mother of the Church. Times: Tueadays 9:15-10:45am


Marriage Preparation

Description: We follow a mentor couple model for marriage preparation. The topics covered include: “Family of Origin”, “Marriage Expectations”, “Communication”, “Sex and Sexuality”, “Making Moral Decisions” and “Sacrament of Matrimony”.

Requirements: Mentor Couples approved by the Pastor.

Frequency: Mentor couple meets with couples preparing for marriage that have already met with Father or Deacon and have already completed and reviewed an assessment with them. We meet with the couples for six sessions over a period of three to four months.

Special Ed Catechism and Sacramental Prep

Description: Individual evaluation offered for special needs in Catechesis. Depending on the need, instruction may be one on one, small group, or large class with assistant. Adapted curriculum is used according to need.

Requirements: Individual evaluation is required for best instruction before beginning classes. If classes are one on one, the parent must be present.

RCIA

Description: RCIA is the process for initiating people into the Catholic Church. The RCIA process prepares you to receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and 1st Eucharist. After receiving all three of these sacraments you are fully initiated into the Catholic Faith. You can join at any time. For most people the process takes about a year. The formal part of the process, starts during the late summer, with some folks starting as late as the fall (depends on circumstances). Generally, you receive the Sacraments of Initiation the following Easter, at the Easter Vigil Mass (the night before Easter Sunday).

Requirements: For those entering the process of RCIA who feel called by God. Team members must be in good standing with the Church, practicing their faith.

Frequency: RCIA meets most Sundays from 9:30-11:30 AM


Called and Gifted

Description: Discerning Charisms, your super powers! God created you for love and gave you a unique and unrepeatable way of spreading His love. He has equipped you for this mission by giving you special gifts called charisms at Baptism.

Bible Study

Lord Teach Me to Pray

Description: Lord, Teach Me to Pray is a program based on the teachings of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Participants pray, reflect, and journal on assigned Scriptures daily. The group meets weekly to pray, share (not required) and learn about Ignatian prayer.

Requirements: This series is for those who long to grow closer to our Lord by listening with your heart to discover what he wants you to hear through His Word. Any faith sharing is confidential.

Frequency: Varies. Morning and'/or evening sessions are held weekly, usually for 12 weeks, starting in spring and fall. Dates and times will be announced in the bulletin.


Friday Morning Men’s Bible Study

Description: We are a group of men who meet once a week to discuss Sunday’s Gospel and how it relates with the 1st reading as a way to prepare for Sunday Mass. We also discuss current events that relate to the Catholic Church.

Frequency: Every Friday in the St. Benedict Room from 6:30-7:30am


Saturday Morning Men’s Prayer

Description: We are a group of men who gather every Saturday morning in the Church to pray the Liturgy of the Hours Morning Office. The Liturgy of the Hours, or Divine Office, are the canonical hours of the Latin Church. The Liturgy of the Hours forms the official set of prayers “marking the hours of each day and sanctifying the day with prayer.” We use the iBreviary app. This usually takes about 15-20 minutes after which we meet at Paul’s Cafe for breakfast or coffee.

Frequency: Every Saturday in the new church at 6:30am


Women’s Ministry

Description: Women come together for mutual spiritual enrichment social interaction, and support. We share intercession for our nation, Church, families, etc. We recite the rosary and specific prayers and intentions, have a social time with coffee and desserts, then end with a book or video lesson and discussion. Personal prayer ministry is included occasionally. Periodically we participate in supporting pro-life efforts, seminarians, etc. We usually take an hour at the abortion clinic for 40 days for life, collect diapers for Catholic Charities, items for human trafficking shelters, etc.

Requirements: Simply be a woman who desires to grow in love of Christ and His Church. All sharing is confidential.

Frequency: Wednesdays at 2:30pm in the St. Dominic room

Word & Worship

Description: A gathering of Praise and Worship, Lectio Divina, and Prayer Ministry. Word and Worship is the intercessory prayer hub of the parish, offering support to ministry leaders and parishioners through intercession and individual prayer ministry. It is a ministry of renewal and outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Frequency: Tuesday’s at 7:00pm in the Chapel
