Safe Environment Training

(for those serving youth and vulnerable adults)

If you would like to volunteer, we’d love to have you! There are just some t’s to cross and some i’s to dot. We just want to make sure our vulnerable are taken care of properly and our volunteers are protected.

ALL Volunteers with youth and vulnerable adults (EHMC homebound/nursing homes/hospitals) must be certified in accordance with the Baton Rouge Diocese Office of Child and Youth Protection protocol.

New guidelines came out in February 2020 so all existing Volunteers must now sign a new code of ethics and watch the new training video. Please contact Ramona Folse rfolse@sjscrusaders.org at the office if you have any questions.

Steps

1) Complete and return the volunteer application (if  new volunteer)

Note: If you currently volunteer at the school you just need to  complete a EAPPS profile Authorization form to allow the Church to access your child protection credentials.

2) Read the code of ethics and return the signature page (Yearly- all volunteers)

3) Complete the online training titled Serving Vulnerable Populations
